Silver Butte is part of a family of PNW breeders across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. If we don't have exactly what you're looking for, we can often connect you with one of our trusted breeder family. Our goal is always the right match — for you and for the puppy.
10 Simple Steps
Every step is designed so you feel confident, informed, and excited about welcoming your new puppy home.
Learn about Golden Retrievers — their temperament, exercise needs, grooming requirements, and what it takes to raise a happy, healthy dog. This is a 10–15 year family decision, and we want you to feel fully prepared.
Fill out our puppy application form so we can get to know your family, your home environment, and what you're looking for in a Golden Retriever.
Go to ApplicationMark and Jessica personally review every application. We'll reach out within 48 hours to chat, answer your questions, and make sure we're a good fit for each other.
Once your application is approved, the next step is to read through and complete our Deposit Agreement together.
Read the Deposit AgreementA $300 non-refundable deposit secures your place on our waitlist. This deposit goes toward the total purchase price of your puppy.
We match puppies to families based on temperament, energy level, your lifestyle, and your family's needs. This isn't random — it's intentional, and it's one of the things we take most seriously.
Once you're committed to a litter, keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram. When we post a side-by-side photo of Mom and Dad, that's our way of letting everyone know — successful breeding!
Based on waitlist order and personality matching, you'll choose your puppy. We'll help guide you, sharing what we've observed about each pup's developing personality over the first several weeks.
From week 1 through week 8, you'll get weekly photos and videos of your puppy as they grow. You'll see their first steps, first meals, first adventures outside, and watch their personality bloom.
Each litter also gets its own dedicated Instagram highlight, so you can scroll through every milestone in one place.
In-person visits are by appointment only — just reach out and we'll find a time that works.
Time to get your home ready for a Golden Retriever puppy! We'll share our recommended supply list — everything from crates and food to toys and supplements.

When you adopt from Silver Butte, you become part of our family. We're here for questions, advice, and support for the entire life of your dog. We also offer 5 complimentary days of boarding for your first year — because we know life happens.
Investment
Our puppies range from $2,500 to $3,500 depending on lineage, color, and parentage. The $300 deposit is applied toward the total price.
